Human Resource managers horn skills
Human Resource managers from both private and public institutions are being drilled in HR management to enable them contributes effectively to their institutions.
The five-day training, which is in session, has been organised by a South African-based Africa Institute for Capacity Development (AICD).
AICD Country Representative, Anna Sanga, said the training aims at building capacity, among HR practitioners so that they become reliable and competitive.
She said the training will further equip participants with ways of how to find solutions to problems easily.
‘‘As AICD we expect the trainees to be able to relate HR functions to their organization objectives in line with legal practices. The trainees will also be able to demonstrate various skills like delegating authority and carrying out gap analysis.
“The participants will also find it easy to identify a potential problem area in people management besides carrying out employee selection process,” she said.
According to Mike Nyoni, from SOS Village said the training will help him understand the labour market and knowing attributes and dynamics of individuals.
He further said for the two days he has already been equipped on employment misconduct checking skills, hence he will be able to apply disciplinary action with ease.
The training which runs from August 7 to 11, 2017, has attracted HR managers, Staff Welfare and Directors among others.
