Human Resource practitioners meet in Blantyre Friday
The Institute of People Management Malawi will on Friday July 31, 2015 hold a dinner and dance at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre to allow for interaction among human resources practitioners in the country.
IPMM president Crispin Chikwama said in an interview that IPMM remains committed to ensuring that the ideals of the human resources profession are upheld and that the event is an opportunity to share any new developments that have been registered in the field in the past year.
“The aim of the dinner dance is to network between members, non-members and other professionals from the corporate world. It is also an opportunity for the institute’s members to interact with business captains,” he said.
With over 200 members, IPMM is the largest professional body which promotes human resource management in Malawi. It is currently in the process of lobbying government to enact into law a draft piece of legislation that seeks to guide the practice of human resources in the country.
This year’s dinner and dance will be followed by presentation of certificates to successful candidates of the Continuous Professional Development workshop.
