Despite a poor start to his career at Golden Arrows, forward Chiukepo Msowoya is optimistic that the South African Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL) side will renew his contract.
Msowoya’s six-month contract expires in June.
There are concerns that Arrows might opt for another player as the 2015 TNM Super League Golden Boot Awardee is yet to score for the Durban team.
Apparently, the former Orlando Pirates man scored an own goal during the 5-2 loss to SuperSport United before receiving a red card when Arrows played against Bloemfontein Celtic.
However, in a telephone interview yesterday, the former Escom United player said he had settled at Arrows.
“All is well here and I am sure that next month, the coaches will consider me for a contract extension. However, I will leave everything in the hands of God. I don’t want to give myself pressure over the expiry of my contract here,” Chiukepo said. Arrows’ Malawian defender, Limbikani Mzava, was also optimistic that his compatriot will earn a contract extension
