ICT exposition to build synergies

The ICT Association of Malawi (Ictam) says it is set to host this year’s International ICT Expo which will be used as a platform for building synergies among local and international firms and experts.
The two-day expo, which will start on May 17 at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, will accord participants a chance to showcase innovative and diversified ICT products and services.
It will bring together leaders from across the entire ICT value chain to discuss the impact of digital technology on business.
Ictam President Clarence Gama said the event will also give space to players from other sectors and consumers to appreciate some of the innovations the country has to offer through research paper presentations, talks, demonstrations and exhibitions.
“Third of its kind, the expo would be held under the theme ‘Building Business Resilience Through Digital Technology’. We intend to discuss the impact of technology on business and the economy and see best ways of ensuring systematic growth,” Gama said.
He called on institutions and individuals to partner Ictam in hosting the expo.
During the indaba, Ictam will award outstanding innovators.
