“It’s not about just signing artists for the sake of it but we are looking at talent, promise and future.

If you listen to Mumdelanji’s music, you will hear that his songs are mature and he is talented,” said Kantande.

He said their firm which is registered is a new player on the media entertainment landscape in the country and that it has more to offer in terms of building the creative industry.

“We are specialists in each sphere connected to audiovisual production, event management, publicity and marketing; this means that we offer a holistic service to each client as well as music artists we have signed,” he said.

Kantande maintained they are serious in what they are doing.

“We firmly believe that any artist promotion drive has to incorporate all these facets; the result is sure to be a well coordinated, comprehensive marketing drive,” said Kantande.

Meanwhile Kantande has revealed that the first assignment with Mumdelanji is to launch a double CD and DVD of the Mzimu wa Agogo album in September.

He said that their vision was to position local artists with talent as integral members of the global multimedia family.

Mumdelanji, who performed during the jazz afternoon last weekend in Blantyre sharing the stage with Ben Mankhamba and veteran Wendyham Chechamba has won the hearts of many with his songs such as ‘Ndimakukonda.’
