Insurance annual conference Aug 18
The Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) says the 2016 IIM Annual Lake Conference will be held in Mangochi from August 18 to 20.
Chairperson of the organising committee of the conference, Chimwemwe Kanyenda, said this year’s conference will be held under the theme ‘Delivering our Promise’.
Kanyenda said the conference provides an opportunity for a productive exchange of ideas and experiences as well as a suitable occasion for participants to forge new business relationships and strengthen existing ones.
“This is an occasion for the IIM to re-dedicate itself to the original mandate that the founding fathers adopted at the inception of the institute in 1978 namely; to promote professionalism in the insurance industry through education and training and, without prejudice, to maintain a sound, vibrant and stable insurance industry,” said Kanyenda.
Over the years, the insurance has attracted a diverse participants’ profile from the insurance, financial and various commercial sectors.
Kanyenda said during this year’s conference, experienced local and global speakers will explore a range of strategic and operational concerns which cover several essential topics as well as provide delegates with the unique opportunity to gain first hand insight into industry related issues.
