Veteran Balaka-based musician Isaac Liwotcha has recorded a new track titled ‘Zikomo’.
The artist, who is struggling with the problem of bones, said Wednesday that he had managed to work on a single despite his challenge.
“There is a powerful message in ‘Zikomo’. I am currently studying theology and, within my study, I thought I should produce a song,” he said.
The fresh song comes after he released another track titled ‘Kabwezeni’.
Liwotcha said he has recorded the song at his home.
“I have a small studio and I managed to record on my own,” he said.
Liwotcha said he was not working on an album but just trying out singles.
“I have lots of songs such that, if there are artists out there who would want to record some, they can just contact me,” he said.
Liwotcha said he is currently on treatment and that he urgently needs surgery.
“I have problems walking and I need more than K1 million to undergo spinal surgery,” he said.
Some of the albums that Liwotcha holds to his belt include Ambuye Mutimvere, Mabvuto Alipo, Musandipute, Bwerera, Ungopalira and Tonthola which he admits he only recorded the songs but did not put it on the market.
“Some of the songs got lost after shooting videos but I want to record them again. With the challenge I have, it is difficult,” Liwotcha said.
