Veteran musician Pastor Isaac Mkukupa, who died on August 22, will be laid to rest on September 23 in the United Kingdom.
The jazz maestro died of dementia and Covid-related symptoms.
One of his children, Rudo, confirmed of the burial Sunday.
“I am attending the burial. I am in United Kingdom now but in quarantine,” Rudo said.
The burial will take place at Northern Cemetery.
Recently vigil prayers were also held by the family in Lilongwe to celebrate Mkukupa’s life.
Mkukupa, who starred with bands such as Touch of Class and Living Waters, was born in Zambia. His mother came from Zimbabwe whereas his father was from Salima District.
He was born on December 9 1943.
