Itel donates to quadruplets
Itel Mobile Company has donated assorted items to quadruplets that were born last week at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
The quadruplets, born through caesarean section, are still healthy at the facility’s nursery room while the mother is still recovering.
The donation comes after the hospital authorities and the mother, Rose Chirwa, asked for support from well-wishers.
Among other things, Itel Mobile Company has donated milk, feeding bottles, orange squash, soap, bathing towels and buckets.
Speaking after he presented the donation, Itel’s Christopher Mtawali said Itel rushed to support the mother after they heard of challenges the mother is facing to take care of the babies.
“We read in The Sunday Times and watched the news on Times Television where they brought to light some of the challenges the mother is facing. We noticed that it is not easy for the family to provide the required support to the babies. Therefore, as part of corporate social responsibility; we thought of presenting these gifts so that the mother and babies can be assisted,” Mtawali said.
