Japanese car exporter opens office in Malawi
Japanese car exporter, Giveucar, has opened an office in Lilongwe, a move which will make it easier for Malawians to buy Japanese used cars and in the process saving the country foreign exchange.
Giveucar Managing Director, Masayuki Fujiwara, said his company will make home deliveries for people who buy cars from Japan through his company.
Fujiwara was speaking in Lilongwe on Saturday during the launch of the Malawi branch.
“We are in more than 100 countries. We are now investing in the Malawi market. We shall give full package to every Malawian who buys Japanese cars through us,” Fujiwara said.
He said currently, the company is doing online purchase but in three months, the cars will be sold from Malawi.
“We are ready for competition in Malawi,” he said when he was asked about competition in the car industry.
