Gospel musician Jean Binauli is back in the limelight with new projects having been out of the scene for some time.
The artist, who returned to the fold last year after 12 years in hibernation, said Thursday she was occupied with academic work.
“I am now done with academic work and it’s time to concentrate on music. For future projects, I am looking at releasing singles every year,” Binauli said.
She is currently working on music videos for two tracks ‘Mwayenera’ and ‘Muthandizire’.
“I should finalise everything by next month. It’s been a great ride in my gospel music career and God has been faithful to guide me to release so many songs,” Binauli said.
The gospel musician debuted in 2000 with Yesu Amawala before dropping Yesu Ndiye Njira four years later and then Pa Calvary in 2009.
“I am not rushing to release albums looking at the musical landscape now. This is why I am concentrating on singles. The trend is difficult compared to the past years,” Binauli said.
