After experiencing the best of South African gospel musician Benjamin Dube, who came face to face with the country’s award winning star Faith Mussa last Friday, gospel lovers are in for another treat and this time from Jimmy D Psalmist.
The Nigerian gospel star jets into the country Wednesday ahead of his performance a t Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, the same venue Dube performed.
This will be the first time for Jimmy D Psalmist real name, Jimmy Johnson, to perform in the country.
One of the organisers of the concert, DJ Maya, said everything is in place and that it is now time for people to enjoy gospel vibes from West Africa particularly Nigeria.
“He arrives on Wednesday (today) and the reason of bringing him down is because we realised that Jimmy D Psalmist’s music is amongst the most listened as far as gospel music is concerned,” Maya said.
He also said that people will have a chance to see him live.
“He will perform live with a band which will arrive on Thursday (tomorrow),” Maya said.
The tickets for the show are K15,000 standard and K25,000 VIP.
As a headliner, the ‘Mighty Man of War’ maker has promised nothing but the best during the concert which will be curtain-raised by The Great Angels Choir and Ethel Kamwendo Banda.
The Nigerian artist has already posted on his Instagram about the concert.
The musician said gospel lovers should expect a mighty move of God during the concert that will be as a result of intense praise and worship session.
“There will be revival, healings, deliverance and manifestation of the power of God. There will be music in its finest and heaven will kiss the earth on May 12 (Saturday),” the Nigerian musician said.
The Nigerian musician, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, added that he is vested with the anointing to bring down the presence of God in a very heavy dimension via worship.
