Former Be Forward Wanderers and Big Bullets striker, Jimmy Zakazaka, was on Sunday red-carded in his Botswana Be Mobile League second appearance for his new employers, BDF XI.

Zakazaka, whose work permit came out two weeks ago, got marching orders when his team was leading 1-0 in the second half.

In an interview from Botswana, Zakazaka said that it was unfortunate that he got dismissed as he was enjoying his game, adding that he reacted to provocation by tacking an opponent.

“It’s not healthy to start with a red card, but it such things happen in football. I am working hard to help the team to fight for championship. I am worried that I will miss the next two assignments,” he explained.

Zakazaka also said that he is not comfortable that he is being featured as a midfielder.

BDF XI moved to position two after beating Mothlakase Dynamos 2-0 in that match.

Zakazaka signed for BDFXI from Wanderers three months ago as a free agent. Other Malawians, who are playing in Botswana, are Lawrence Majawa and Louis Minjale.
