JJ in more musical projects

Lilongwe – based musician John Kutsokwe, popularly known as JJ who turned born-again and is strictly doing reggae gospel, has worked on new projects as he tries to give people more music.
Having dropped two promotional songs – ‘My Redeemer’ and ‘Protector’— last year off his My Redeemer album, JJ is dropping two more songs this month namely ‘Ndi Ndani Kodi’ and ‘Utawaleza’.
“I am making more moves as I keep on promoting my album. On Monday, for instance, I dropped the official music video of ‘Ndi Ndani Kodi’,” Kutsokwe said.
He said having spoken highly about My Redeemer album, it is now time for him to launch the collection this year.
“I am planning to launch the album in June or July 2021. It’s been hard, especially with Covid-19, but it is my hope that things will normalise by the time we get to June or July,” JJ said.
He said he understood that people have waited for the launch of the album for too long but he was working hard to have it as soon as possible.
“God has been good to me and all I want is to use the talent He have me to minister His word. It has been a long journey for me but now I am happy doing reggae gospel,” Kutsokwe said.
Before turning born-again, JJ was in secular music where he managed to produce three albums namely Dalitsani Malawi, Me Again and Lonjezo which he admitted did not do well on the market.
JJ, who formed a strong frontline in Mibawa and Mizu bands over the years, has also worked with groups such as Young Generations, Uhuru, Matumbi Vibrations, Mizati and Maziko.
