Flames and Blue Eagles attacking midfielder, John Banda is Monday expected to conclude his week-long trials at ABSA Premiership side, Jomo Cosmos.

Banda started trials with Cosmos last week and watched Cosmos went down 1-0 to Atusaye Nyondo’s University of Pretoria in the ABSA Premiership on Saturday. His compatriot, Micium Mhone had a grand game and played 90 minutes.

In an interview on Saturday, the former Eagles Strikers player said he was enjoying his trials in South Africa.

“Everything is going on well. I will finish on Monday. I don’t want to talk more but let’s just wait for the results,” Banda said.

On his part, Cosmos local representative, Ben Chiwaya said detai ls of Banda’s trials would be made available after conclusion of the trials.

Banda, who is a police officer, was also linked with a deal to Mozambican club, Costa Do Sol towards the end of last year but the deal did not go thorough as Eagles refused to release the player on loan.

He is one of Flames and Eagles reliable players. He has eight goals for Flames in 40 games. If he clinches the deal, the influential Flames attacker will be the second Eagles player to join Cosmos after Mhone sealed the deal last year.
