Covid survivor Justice Chifundo Kachale has described the fight against Covid as more mental than medical, asking those that tested positive for coronavirus not to fear.
Sharing his reflections, the Malawi Electoral Commission Chairperson pleaded with Malawians to be vigilant as Covid can attack anyone.
Kachale said Thursday that the effectiveness of preventive strategies such as hand-washing with soap, social distancing and facemask-wearing could not be disputed.
“In the event that you receive a positive Covid diagnosis, do not panic; people are able to recover from this illness. In other words, remember the real fight is more mental (or spiritual) than medical; do not allow defeat and death to overcome you without even giving your body a chance to take on the illness… So, when I got my diagnosis, I resolved not to allow fear to dominate my mind,” he said.
