After successfully picking 12 contestants during the Ka Jive Dance Competition season 2 auditions in Lilongwe last weekend, it is now the turn of Blantyre this weekend.
The auditions in Blantyre will be held tomorrow and Sunday at Al Pacino’s Club 360 where they are also expected to pick 12 contestants.
Timescom Business Manager Heggar Kalowekamo said yesterday that having experienced exciting at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe last weekend; they were also looking for the best in Blantyre.
Kalowekamo said 46 contestants registered in Blantyre which is the highest number compared to Lilongwe hence holding the auditions tomorrow and Sunday.
“We will be starting in the morning from 8am up to 5pm and the entry fee is K1,500 on the door. This is a great family entertainment so people are encouraged to come in their great numbers,” he said.
Kalowekamo said people are assured of watching exhilarating performances from the contestants.
In season one, the competition was only held in Blantyre but this time it has extended to Lilongwe.
Kalowekamo said the contestants in Lilongwe will be battling at their own backyard likewise in Blantyre and that after the auditions they will go straight to eliminations.
He said they will pick the best three each in Lilongwe and Blantyre who will then battle it out in the final.
Kalowekamo described the dance competition spearheaded by Times Group through Times Television as a lifetime opportunity for dancers to display their various dance moves to the nation with the show set to be broadcast live on Times Television.
Last year Metics Dance Crew were the winners pocketing K1 million and this year Airtel Malawi are the co-sponsors. The winner is expected to go away with K1.5 million.
