Ka Jive Dance competition Season 2 will be back in October, Times Group Chief Commercial Manager Dumisani Ngulube has said.
Ngulube said the registration for the competition will start on September 1 with the auditions taking place on October 10 in Lilongwe and October 17 in Blantyre.
“We are set to come back with Season 2, the first season was a success and we saw a lot of talent and we believe Season 2 will be much better since we now have the experience,” he said.
Ngulube then revealed that the winner will this time walk away with K1.5 million.
“Unlike in the first season when we were only restricted to holding it in Blantyre, Season 2 will automate from Blantyre to Lilongwe. As Times Group, we have always said that leading is our way of life and through this platform we want to unearth talent,” he said.
Ngulube also revealed that the Ka Jive Dance competition will likely start on October 24 and that they are planning to have the grand finale in Lilongwe in December.
“We are working hard to have another successful show and all we can ask the dancers out there is to get prepared and make sure they register,” he said.
Season One attracted an overwhelming response which saw several dancers competing but at the end of it all Metics Dance Crew came out top pocketing K1 million.
The groups that made it to the final in season 1 apart from the winners include Twist, Ray, Floor Steppers, Tron, Owen Chimbaya, Asap Movement and Dope Crew.
