“There are twists and turns as I already said but for now we are concentrating on auditions and after that then we go to the next level. call upon more to come and support the participants,” Msukwa said.

Having received participants from different places including in the Northern Region in the second audition, Msukwa, said in the third auditions they are anticipating more groups.

“This is a national dance competition and this is why we have groups coming as far as Mzuzu. We are also thankful that some partners have come in to support the competition. We have partners such as Techno and Family Planning Association of Malawi (Fpam),” Msukwa said.

The 10 groups that made it to the next round last Saturday include The Gap Connection from Blantyre, Jaiva Dance Crew from Mzuzu, 99 Ma Feel from Blantyre, Luchenza Amazing Dance Crew, Khybon Dance Crew from Lilongwe and Invisible Crew from Thyolo.

Meanwhile, Msukwa said they have reduced the entry fee from K2,500 to K1,000 in order to allow more people to patronise the auditions Saturday.

The judges for the competition are Robert Magasa, Rina and Super DT. However, Super DT did not make it last Saturday and instead Joshua Bhima stepped in.

This is Season Four of the competition.
