Ka Jive Dance competition is back after a one-week break following the end of auditions.
This Saturday five groups will be voted out at the start of the elimination stage which will take place at Times Entertainment Studios in Blantyre.
Times Group Commercial Manager Lusayo Msukwa, Tuesday said people should expect another exciting moment during the elimination stage.
“We have three elimination shows in total where we will remove 15 groups,” Msukwa said.
He said they have shortlisted 10 groups to kick-start the elimination stage out of the 30 groups that made it to the next round. The groups included Brightos, Soweto Babies, Anomix, Momentum, Tridax Chibaya, Born Major, Khybon Dance, Invisible Crew, Roll Up Dance Crew and The Gap Connection.
“So people should take note that this Saturday we will evict five groups from the first 10 groups performing. The groups are set to perform free style and traditional dances. The idea is to promote our culture,” Msukwa said.
He also said that the groups will be given codes and that people will be voting using the codes.
“We just want to call upon young people and parents to patronise the elimination shows,” Msukwa said.
Ka Jive Dance competition with its tagline Tivine Zimene is now in Season Four and will see the winner walk away with K1 million with the runner up pocketing K400,000.
The third position is also expected to receive K150,000 courtesy of Mchinji Boys Construction led by Justice Katika.
The dance contest run by Times Group through Times Television will be beamed live on Times Television.
