Ka Jive Season Four starts next Saturday

Auditions for Ka Jive Season Four Dance competition starts on October 10 2020 at Times Entertainment Studio in Blantyre.

The dance competition spearheaded by Times Group through Times Television was expected to start on September 5 2020 but was postponed.

Times Group Commercial Manager Lusayo Msukwa, said Thursday that everything

“Everything is now ready to kick-off the competition. We know people have waited for long but we are good to go now,” Msukwa said.

“We received applications close to 100 acts but with the auditions we are looking at selecting 30 groups which will then go on to participate in the whole competition. People should brace for more twists and turns as has been the case with the previous seasons,” Msukwa said.

He said that on October 10, they will have groups from all the regions.

“Again, what we are saying is that we have judges, who are professional and will be transparent in their work. As Times Group, we will not influence decisions because these judges know their work and the idea is to unearth talent but also at the same time get the best,” Msukwa said.

Since the competition started, it has attracted a lot of interest from young people, who have shown their creativity and producing unique dance routines.

Over the past seasons, the competition has unearthed a number of groups which have gone on to be hired by various companies and they include Floor Steppers, Salama Africa Dance Crew from Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa, Metics Dance Crew and M-Dub Dance Crew.

Msukwa also said that people should just watch the space as they will be announcing new things as they gear for the auditions on October 10 2020.

“We have made a number of changes and what we are saying is that even people out there will have a chance of getting something,” he said.

M-Dub are the winners of the previous season.
