The semi-finals come up following successful elimination shows that have seen 15 groups making it through, with 15 others being evicted.
Times Group Commercial Manager Lusayo Msukwa said yesterday it had been a fantastic journey of elimination shows and that they were happy to give people the semi-finals.
“We are getting closer to the grand finale. As we promised, people are in for a treat; there are twists and turns and all they can do is be part of the events,” Msukwa said.
The grand finale will take place on December 19 2020 with the winner walking away with K1 million whereas the first and second runner ups will receive K400,000 and K150,000, respectively.
“We have moved through phases starting off with auditions then elimination and now we are talking of semi-finals. There is so much at stake and we are happy with the performances of the participants. This competition is part of uplifting the creative industry in the country,” Msukwa said.
The semi-finals will see five groups being evicted with 10 set to battle it out in the finals. Some of the groups that made it through the elimination stage and are in the semi-finals are The Gap Connection, Invisible Crew, Born Major, Soweto Babies and Khybon Dance Crew.
