Kajive Southern Region finals Saturday
It is less than a day before 10 finalists from the Southern Region battle it out in Kajive Season 3 which will take place Saturday at Robin’s Park in Blantyre.
By now, all the contestants have perfected their dance moves ready to impress the audience and judges so that they may get platinum ranking.
New twists, turns, dance routines are what you should look forward to at the finals.
From last year’s observation, weekly acts gave the contestants limited time to prepare but, with the long break between the auditions and the finals during this season, the dancers have had enough time to prepare and, so, there will be no excuses.
Unlike the previous season, where dancers were given tasks, the finals are strictly based on free style.
Times Group Chief Commercial Manager, Dumisani Ngulube, said in an earlier interview that Kajive Season 3 has come with a number of changes.
“Tasks were a choking block to some of the dancers. They could not cope with the tasks so this year we have changed the format. The dancers are going to create four unique acts; one for the auditions, regional finals and the third one for the grand finale. And, in the event of a tie, they may have to pull out the fourth one,” Ngulube said.
Ngulube said the changes were necessary after observing that there was repetition of routines among last year’s contestants because of the tasks.
“We want to change that and, instead, we want them to prepare four unique routines which will be very exciting for both our live audience and television audience,” Ngulube said.
