Kell Kay ready with new album

By Thabi Kamwangala:
Lilongwe-based award winning R&B artist Kelly Kay has said his new album Ndabwera Ndi Nkhani is almost ready.
The artist real name Kelvin Kambiwiri said he has been working with up and coming artists in the new album to give it a diverse sound.
“The album is basically about true life stories. I have literally come with a story,” the ‘Juju’ creator said.
“These collaborations are also a way for me to uplift up and coming artists,” Kell Kay said.
Kell Kay said date has not been set for the release.
About 11 artists were selected to be part of the album, four from the south, four from the Central Region and four from north.
He said the up and coming artists were selected through social media where people voted and he selected the best.
Some of the artists that have made the list include Bongie Melon, Angie, Princess Matiki, J Recks, Devine Njuchi, Mad Alley, Tremone, Merchah, Lil Vince, Inno Busy and King Wiz.
National Bus Company sponsored transportation for the up and coming artists to Lilongwe for recording sessions while Pebbles Boutique Hotel sponsored accommodation and food with LCB Studios sponsoring the studio for recording.
Henwood, Tricky Beats, and Janta are some of the producers that Kell Kay has worked with in the project.
