Kelvin sings third EP

Lilongwe-based musician Kelvin Sings has released his third Extended Playlist (EP) titled After the Honesty.
After the Honesty is made up of seven tracks which include ‘Ndinyamuleni’, ‘Kondera’, ‘Pamaso Panu’, Your Great Name’, ‘Eye’ and ‘To Love Me’.
With his silky voice accompanied by synths and guitar, the youthful artist has spread his wings exploring with different genres.
The singer said After the Honesty EP is full of meaning.
He also said that the project reflects the challenges that he encountered due to Covid, which has affected the creative industry greatly.
“This project came to me after Covid hit Malawi. I felt like I had so many plans after my last EP Honest and I was frustrated that I could not do the most because of lockdowns and other restrictions.
“Just being home reflecting through everything that I was going through, all that I had witnessed in the season of the pandemic, I decided to put all my emotions in the songs and share them to the world,” Sings said.
In order to enrich the project and breathe in more life, Sings decided to feature Kim of Diamonds in the track ‘To Love Me’.
“I basically wanted the strong female voice and Kim of Diamonds was the perfect fit in ‘To Love Me’,” he said.
Sings said all the seven songs carry different messages.
For instance in ‘Pamaso Panu’, he exalts God.
In ‘Ndinyamuleni’, the message comes from a heartbroken person who is calling upon God to fight his battles.
The artist worked with a number of producers in the production of the EP and they include Manifest, Blage and DJ Sley.
Real name Kelvin Zalimba, the artist said he would drop an album later this year.
