Khato Civils pumps K100 million

Khato Civils and South Zambezi companies have donated K100 million to the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (Dodma) to assist with relief efforts for survivors of Tropical Cyclone Freddy, which has wreaked havoc in the country.
Khato Civils Malawi Country Director Ashan Simbi Phiri presented the resources to the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (Dodma) in Lilongwe.
“Tropical Cyclone Freddy has affected many areas. As a people-centred company, we have to play a role in contributing to government relief efforts,” Phiri said.
Khato Civils Group Chief Executive Officer Mongezi Mnyani, said the scale of the devastation is huge, hence, the need for concerted effort.
Deputy Director for Disaster Response at Dodma Fyawupi Mwafongo thanked the firms for their support.
