Khingi ready with new project

KHINGI —We all have what it takes to achieve our dreams

Lilongwe-based reggae dancehall musician Khingi real name Vincent Kapoloma has said his album titled Believe is ready.

The 12-track album produced by Warge Records, Jah Rhyno and Justus Devine will be released on November 15.

“The album basically intends to encourage youngsters in the country to start believing in themselves and to have confidence in their abilities. We all have what it takes to achieve our dreams as long as we go for them. Believe you can fly like a bird in the sky, only if you try,” Khingi said.

Some of the songs in the album include ‘Strictly Business’, featuring Con Blaq, ‘Spare Me’, ‘Second Wave’, ‘Al Jazeera’, ‘Faithful’ featuring Peter Sambo, and ‘Gratitude’ featuring Annie Matumbi.

He said ‘Strictly Business’ is a lyrical showcase, an interaction between Khingi and Con Blaq whereas in ‘Spare Me’, the track talks about a heartbroken man who is fed up of being lied to by his wife.

“Our society these days is full of stories to do with betrayal and broken relationships so I felt the album needed to have a song that touches on that,” he said.

He said the album will be available on major streaming sites such as Spitiful, Deeper, AudioMack, iTunes and YouTube.

Khingi, who is an affiliate of Bass and Truth Entertainment and Warge Records started recording in 2010 at Warge Records.

His previous compilations are ‘Get to Know Me’ and ‘Storyteller released in 2016 and 2018.

The artist has worked with artists like Manzy Mecca, Blackafella, Wakisa James, Twiggy, Sage Poet, informatix and C Scripture.
