Khuda Muyaba, Dennis Chembezi jet in today

Polokwane City stars Dennis Chembezi and striker Khuda Muyaba will be the first foreign country-based players to join the Malawi National Football Team camp ahead of next week’s friendly against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam.
Football Association of Malawi Competitions and Communications Director Gomezgani Zakazaka said Chembezi and Muyaba had concluded their season and were ready to join the squad today.
Zakazaka said the Flames’ South Africa-based players who ply their trade in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) will join the squad next week.
The players are captain Limbikani Mzava of AmaZulu FC, Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango and the Baroka FC duo of Richard Mbulu and Gerald Phiri Jnr.
Zakazaka said Flames vice-captain John ‘CJ’ Banda, who plays for Costa do Sol in Mozambique, is also expected to arrive next week.
“Players who are plying their trade in the PSL will join the squad starting from Monday next week as the DStv Premiership for the 2020/21 season ends this weekend,” he said.
Zakazaka said Europe-based players Charles Petro of Sheriff FC in Moldova will join the squad this weekend while midfielder Tawonga Chimodzi, who plays for second-tier side ASIL Lysi in Cyprus, will arrive next week.
Meanwhile, Mighty Wanderers attacking midfielder Vitumbiko Kumwenda has replaced Nyasa Big Bullets’ Precious Sambani.
The versatile defender sustained an injury during a TNM Super League match between Bullets and Ekwendeni Hammers on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The injury will keep Sambani out for the rest of the season.
