On and off-Flames forward Khuda Muyaba has said he was relishing the round of 16 clash between his side Polokwane City and holders Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup.

Muyaba, having struggled last season, has made a bright start to his career in the second-tier league with Polokwane after scoring two goals.

The 2019 TNM Super League Golden Boot award winner said he was excited at the prospect of playing against Sundowns.

“Sundowns are a big club and it will be a big match for everyone. But we are determined to make history and knock them out of the competition,” Muyaba, who scored 21 goals in the top flight league in 2019 before joining Polokwane in 2020 said.

Last season Muyaba hardly featured for Polokwane and, at times, he courted controversy.

His future at Polokwane appeared to be shaky when the National First Division side issued a statement recalling the Malawian forward from holiday.

However, Muyaba has defied odd in the lower division to relaunch himself.
