“I will fight hard for my record, manager and fans. Misanjo is not a boxer to cause sleepless nights,” said the 23 year-old.

Misanjo, 27, said he was ready to send back Kudakwache to amateur boxing.

“This is professional boxing where we fight for money and life,” said the boxer who has fought 21 times, winning 14, losing six times and drawing once.

Ironically, New Dawn Boxing Promotions and No Pain Boxing Promotions have been promoting local and international fights together with their Zimbabwean counterpart, Clyde Musonda of Delta Force Boxing Academy.

No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions managing director, Craig Rousseau and his New Dawn counterpart, Mike Chimaliza said the fight will not affect their relationship.

“This is just sport. It is normal and it will end there. Our relationship will remain intact. All we want is to help our boxers develop into quality ones. We can only do that if we let them fight with the best. If it means our boxers facing each other, we will not block such a fight. It is about love and dedication,” he said.

Chimaliza shared similar sentiments, adding “I think these bouts will even make our friendship stronger and also make boxers work hard.”
