Kukoma Diamonds dominate Queens’ squad

Kukoma Diamonds have dominated Malawi netball Queens’ squad after contributing seven out of 21 players.

Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) Tuesday released the squad to report for camp training today in Blantyre ahead of the Fast5 World Netball Series set for Australia at the end of the month.

The Queens’ Head Coach, Griffin Saenda, who also coaches Diamonds, has also included five Tigresses’ players in the squad with four being from Blue Eagles.

Thunder Queens have contributed three players and one from Civonets.

Notable new faces in the squad include Diamonds’ in-form shooter, Alinafe Kamwala, and Eagles’ shooter, Mary Banya.

Tigresses’ centre, Beatrice Mpinganjira, has been recalled in the squad which foreign-based shooter, Mwawi Kumwenda, leads.

Malawi Queens’ skipper Caroline Mtukule-Ngwira misses out as she is on maternity break.

Tigresses’ defender, Lauren Ngwira, who has been missing in action, has also made it despite being inactive in the league of late.

Kumwenda, Jane Chimaliro (Civonets), Jessie Mazengera-Sanudi, Kamwala (Diamonds), Joyce Mvula, Banya (Eagles), Sindi Simtowe-Msowoya (Tigresses).

Centre court

Shira Kapasula Dimba, Bridget Kumwenda, Eneles Mdezo Manda (Diamonds), Beatrice Mpinganjira (Tigresses), Takondwa Lwazi (Eagles), Thandie Galeta- Saenda and Pilirani Msukwa (Thunder Queens).
