After a successful outing in Blantyre on September 24, the Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life now storms Mzuzu on Saturday.
The event will take place at Mzuzu University.
One of the members of the organising team, Talumba Chirwa said on Wednesday that they were expecting the best in Mzuzu having had a fantastic event in Blantyre.
“The formula is the same like the one we had in Blantyre. We will have sports in the morning then the climax will be the music concert in the afternoon,” Chirwa said.
While Blantyre had a dance contest featuring Floor Steppers, Twist and Metics, Chirwa said there will be no dance contest in Mzuzu.
“In Mzuzu we might have a fashion challenge instead so people should look forward to this,” he said.
Chirwa also revealed that the artists performing in Mzuzu are Tay Grin, Home Grown African, Mafo and Malinga Mafia.
“We ask people to come in large numbers and be part of this event. There will be lots of Coca- Cola give-always and on top of that one person will also have a chance of winning a yearly supply of Coca-Cola,” he said.
In Blantyre, Beauty Banda was the victor winning a yearly supply of Coca-Cola after Tay Grin picked her winning ticket.
The Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life has been expanded and this year is talking city take over.
This is a platform which was introduced in February, 2015.
The entry fee for the event is K1,000 each and upon entry, one is given a Coca- Cola drink plus plastic cup as well as raffle ticket.
Home Grown African will once again seek to shine at the Mzuzu outing as they also pride in doing the Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life track which was produced by Sonye.
Titha Mbilizi, who is Senior Brands Manager (Non-Alcoholic Beverages), said during the Blantyre event that they would want more people particularly youths to participate.
She also said that they hope through the event to gain more and build on the new Coca- Cola campaign Taste the Feeling incorporated in this year’s Kuphaka Life.
Mbilizi said Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life brings together music, sports and digital media sharing, to the country’s young and vibrant generation.
From Mzuzu, the Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life will move to Lilongwe.
