League launch venue changed
There is confusion over the venue for the 2017 TNM Super League season re-launch ceremony.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has shifted the venue of the re-launch ceremony from Bingu National Stadium (BNS) to Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
A clash between Super League champions, Kamuzu Barracks, and cup specialists, Be Forward Wanderers, will kick-start the season.
Sulom General Secretary, Williams Banda, confirmed that BNS has been booked for prayers.
“We have been told that some church members booked the stadium before us but they were yet to confirm,” Banda said.
“We were assured that we can book it as the facility is meant for football activities. It was on Tuesday when we received communication from the stadium’s authorities that the church members have finally confirmed.”
