Lilongwe Council reopens KFC restaurant
By Faith Kamtambe:

Lilongwe City Council (LCC) has opened KFC restaurant after its closure on Tuesday.
KFC was closed by city officials, who faulted the facility for emptying liquid waste from a septic tank serving the restaurant into an open storm-water drain along the M1 Road.
A letter from LCC Chief Executive Officer, John Chome, dated April 19 2019, indicates that council officials inspected KFC premises, where they observed that the restaurant has adhered to standards.
“The council has approved the reopening of your restaurant business premises from today, April 19 2019. The council will continue to closely monitor that you maintain all public health standards in accordance with Lilongwe City Council by-laws,” the letter reads.
LCC also advises management of KFC to obtain a business premises license from it.
