Civil Coach, Franco Ndawa, said the win had boosted his team’s morale.

“It was a very tough game but it is good to collect maximum points. I thank the players for working hard to emerge victorious,” Ndawa said.

Eagles assistant Coach, Wilson Chidati, said his charges conceded silly goals.

“We did not come to the party. We were not well prepared for the game and ended up conceding silly goals,” Chidati said.

In other games played Sunday, Mighty Tigers defeated Ntopwa 1-0 through Chasimbiwe Kanyika’s goal at Kamuzu Stadium whereas Karonga United and Moyale Barracks shared spoils after a 1-1 draw at Karonga Stadium.

Despite not playing Sunday, Be Forward Wanderers continue to lead the log table with 27 points, ahead of second-placed Kamuzu Barracks on goal difference.
