Southern Region’s auditions of Ka Jive Season Five held at Times Entertainment Studios in Blantyre were lit and explosive and, now, it is the turn of dancers from the Central and Northern regions to show their swag.
The venue is Golden Peacock in Lilongwe on Sunday afternoon where over 20 groups are expected to battle it out to earn a slot into the next round and join the 15 groups that made it in the Southern Region.
The auditions in the capital city were supposed to take place tomorrow but, due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control, action in the popular dance contest was shifted to Sunday.
The competition is driven by Times Group through Times Television under the signature of Tivine Zimenezi.
Times Group Advertising Manager—Radio and Television—Alfred Kanjere, said despite the eleventh hour change, they were lookin forward to a great time in Lilongwe.
“All the groups that registered are ready and we are looking forward to another great time just like it was in Blantyre. We call upon people to come in large numbers because this is a family outing and parents should come and support their children,” Kanjere said.
He also called upon organisations, companies and various players to embrace the competition, especially those targeting the youth, and hailed Business Computer Systems for their support having pumped in over K2 million last week.
The auditions will be spiced up by performances from Amaka Musiq and Seven O More.
About 50 groups registered ahead of the auditions.
