Flames defender Limbikani Mzava has joined Highlands Park from Golden Arrows—his fourth club in South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) and sixth in his professional career.
Mzava parted ways with Arrows following the expiry of his three-year deal last month, having joined them from Mpumalanga Black Aces.
The defender launched his professional career at Mighty Tigers before joining Escom United then Bloemfontein Celtic in the PSL.
Mzava joined defender Nkanyiso Mngwengwe and midfielder Sandile Zuke out of the exit door at Arrows.
Mzava said he had signed a two-year deal with Park, ending speculation that he was on the verge of joining compatriot Gabadinho Mhango at Orlando Pirates.
“It is true that I have signed for Highlands Park. I had to weigh options after being approached by many clubs. I know it won’t be easy to be here as I will be staying with new teammates and technical team,” Mzava said.
He last played for the Flames in the away 3-0 loss to Morocco in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
