Lucius Banda shares stage with Maria Chidzanja Nkhoma
Legendary musician Lucius Banda better known as Soldier in the music circles on Friday had a rare opportunity of sharing the stage with veteran singer Maria Chidzanja-Nkhoma during a Mother’s Day concert dubbed Mama and Me organised by Soul Rebel Entertainment.
Despite not attracting a huge audience, the concert lived up to its billing with artists putting up splendid performances. Other artists who performed on the day included Young Kay, Gwamba, Tigris, Chanco Travelling Theatre and ABC ballet.
Apart from celebrating with mothers ahead of the Mothers Day which is on Thursday, Soul Rebel Entertainment led by Third Eye and Gwamba also used the concert to announce a new innovation known as Rediyo which will launch on Google Play.
Rediyo be used to stream and download Malawian music and discover so much more with latest music news and charts. According to Third Eye and Gwamba, the app is social media intergrated and provides live entertainment news feeds and that it will also help in fighting piracy which has affected the creative industry.
