Defender Lucky Malata, Be Forward Wanderers’ first signing of the transfer window, has insisted that he would rather have his boots do the talking.
Malata, who came under severe criticism while playing for Malawi National Football Team over some defensive gaffes in 2015, yesterday reluctantly granted The Daily Times an interview over his move from Silver Strikers.
“I have nothing to say. All I was supposed to say was already said by people. People talk a lot and I now only listen to them,” said the centre-back.
His shock move from Silver has prompted the Bankers’ General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, to promise an invasion of Wanderers’ camp.
Nyirenda told the media recently that he was eyeing a big catch from Wanderers with seasoned midfielder, Joseph Kamwendo, said to be under Silver’s radar.
