Talented singer, guitarist and producer Lulu takes to the stage Saturday and Sunday, when he will share the stage with Karonga-based Lusubilo Band at Mibawa Multipurpose Hall and HS Winehouse in Blantyre respectively.
Lulu, reeling from the release of his beautifully woven romantic track ‘Mbeta’, will share the stage with Lusubilo Band in a rare showdown.
The two shows promises thrills, looking at the caliber of acts who will be sharing the stage.
Lulu is a performer and his live performances are always attractive and it is also the same with Lusubilo Band, which always offers energetic and exciting performances.
“I am ready and I am happy to be performing together with Lusubilo, a group I respect so much. We know we have some fans who do not come to our shows and, so, we want to get them right in their homes through Mibawa,” Lulu said.
He said he was even more than happy that he would be performing at Mibawa having just released a new track ‘Mbeta’.
“It is time for people to enjoy this new track. So Mibawa will sample both old and new songs,” Lulu said.
Mibawa proprietor John Nthakomwa said they were looking forward to a great show Saturday although he was quick to say that they were still looking for sponsors.
“We just want to call upon people to patronise this show. We are again, here to give people the the much needed entertainment,” Nthakomwa said.
After their performances at Mibawa, the two acts will turn their attention to another show on Sunday at HS Winehouse.
HS Winehouse publicist Emmanuel Maliro said they thought of engaging the two to liven their Sunday this weekend.
“It is now our tradition to bring people different artists. We are thankful for the support we continue to receive and our aim is to give artists the platform but also give people a source of entertainment,” Maliro said.
Lulu will be performing at HS Winehouse for the second time since the venue reopened its doors after Covid break whereas Lusubilo will be making their debut performance.
