Lulu, Skeffa talk no shows

Musician and producer Lulu and Skeffa Chimoto, said, yesterday, artists were struggling in the country and that they have suffered enough the past two months.
Skeffa said they were ready to return to the stage despite that Covid -19 pandemic was on the ground.
“We are home doing nothing, I am speaking as an individual but if you look around you will see that there are more artists, who are suffering,” he said.
The musician, said the challenges will be there upon their return to the stage but they were ready to take the necessary precautionary measures.
“We will follow all the necessary precautionary measures to make sure that people are safe but we cannot go beyond this otherwise we w die of hunger and not coronavirus,” he said.
Lulu said the absence of live performances has helped him reach out to the masses through social media.
The ‘Nzalera’ star admitted that life of an artist was hard at the moment as they cannot make enough money due to absence of live performances.
“With performances I had little time to interact with my fans because I was always busy but this time I am able to reach out to them through for instance, my Facebook page. We need to embrace these online platforms in terms of reaching out to people with our products but also at the same time get feedback,” Lulu said.
He said feedback was very crucial in terms of improving their work both in the studio and on stage.
“As musicians, Covid-19 pandemic has also given us food for thought on how we handle such situations. But I should also say it here that life is hard,” Lulu said.
The artist, said the two months of no show has also given him a chance to concentrate on music projects in the studio.
“I am currently working with Billy Kaunda, who is finalising his album,” the ‘Mbambande’ hitmaker, said.
