Lwazi Mtonga eager to improve
Blue Eagles Sisters’ centre, Takondwa Lwazi- Mtonga, has said the just-ended Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia have motivated her to help Malawi national netball team, the Queens, to shine in future competitions.
Lwazi-Mtonga registered best statistics for the Queens at the Games.
“The competition was tough but I worked hard for the team. It was not easy to get such statistics against top teams and players,” she said.
Lwazi-Mtonga said she would not relent but continue working hard so as to improve her performance.
In feeding into the circle, Lwazi-Mtonga was second behind Chelsea Pitman of England.
Overall, the Malawian was on fourth position in registering goal assists.
Loreen Ngwira and Thandie Galeta also registered good statistics for the Queens at the Games.
