Macdonald Mtetemera calls for crisis meeting
Dwangwa United Coach, Macdonald Mtetemera, has called for urgent action on problems rocking the TNM Super League team.
On Sunday, Dwangwa were beaten 4-0 at home by Azam Tigers.
“Things are not well in the team. The technical guys, players, Executive Committee members and all stakeholders must discuss how we can solve these problems. For a team to win, it is not about players alone,” Mtetemera said without elaborating.
But the Lakeshore side is in financial problems and players boycotted training sessions a fortnight ago over five months unpaid dues.
The players resumed training after being paid part of their money. In four league games, Dwangwa have won once, lost twice and drawn once.
Dwangwa Team Manager, George Kampira, said they will meet to discuss how the problems can be solved.
“I cannot say what kind of problems we have in the team but we will meet with the Executive Committee to iron out issues surrounding the team’s poor performance,” Kampira said.
