Machinjiri man wins K51 million in Premier Bet
Machinjiri Township-based vegetable vendor, Andrew Jordan, is set to start a new lease of life in Blantyre after winning K51 million from Premier Bet.
Jordan, 28, disclosed this Wednesday at Premier Bet offices in Blantyre after emerging the second biggest winner for predicting correctly 23 football matches for foreign leagues.
“I am thrilled because I spent K150 to bet for those 23 games. I never expected to win this amount. I am now planning to start another business because, all along, I was selling vegetables and tomatoes in Machinjiri,” he said.
Premier Bet Assistant Training Manager, Joseph Malonda, has since encouraged people to bet responsibly.
“They should pay rent, fees and other expenses before betting. As Premier Bet, we are encouraged by the response we are getting from different stakeholders,” he said.
Malonda said Premier Bet has over 100 shops and 1,000 agents across the country.
