Madalitso Band leaves for Europe

Madalitso Band, the duo of Yosefe Kalekeni and Yobu Maligwa, left the country on Sunday for their fifth European tour.

The group was expected to leave the country on May 4 but failed due to the absence of passports, which were still in South Africa.

Their failure to leave on Wednesday has led to them missing two shows as their first was set for last Friday.

“We are in France now and we will be heading to Lyon now (Monday). We missed two shows but we are still remaining with 48 and we start our first show on Wednesday (tomorrow),” the group’s Neil Nayar said.

Madalitso Band will perform in France, Switzerland, Italy and United Kingdom.
