After her successful outings in Mulanje and Mponela in Dowa on Friday and Saturday, respectively, South African musician Makhadzi on Sunday continued the Road to Summer assignments when she performed for the first time at Mzuzu Stadium.
Makhadzi once again put up a splendid performance at the show that delayed to start.
There were upsets during the show which disappointed people but they were erased by the standout performances of the artists including Makhadzi and reggae group Black Missionaries alongside Anthony Mr Cool Makondetsa.
Janta also performed at Mzuzu Stadium, having shared the stage with Makhadzi in Mulanje.
The ‘Ndampeza Wina’ creator said he was impressed with the support he received from the audience.
He also said that he was pleased to share the stage with fellow Malawian artists as well as Makhadzi from South Africa.
“The show was amazing and I gave my best. I am also happy that through these platforms, we are sharing knowledge for the betterment of the creative sector,” Janta said.
Makhadzi jumped on stage after midnight and this was after the audience had enjoyed reggae vibes from Black Missionaries.
The artist from the Rainbow Nation, who last year starred at Sand Music and Hangout festivals, said she was excited to perform in Mzuzu for the first time.
“The support I have received has given me smiles. Thank you Malawi for loving my music. I will come back and this time around, I will come with Master KG,” Makhadzi, who describes herself as the ‘most beautiful woman in the whole world’, said.
Other artists that starred at the show include Mwanache and Ril B.
