Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) is set to present findings on gate fraud which will enable the body to develop a strategic plan to deal with the vice.

This comes after the taskforce which was appointed by the council concluded its work and the findings will be presented Thursday at Malawi Sun Hotel in Blantyre.

The institution’s board chairperson Sunduzwayo Madise said the report will help stakeholders develop strategies to overcome the vice.

“The report has insights of what happens during matches. It has highlighted problems or loopholes in the system.

“We need to be strategic to overcome gate fraud. We also need to be careful when developing the solution which can break the whole structure. Much as we cannot overcome it overnight. We should not be naive because the system can fight back,” he said.

The council set up a taskforce with an aim of finding solutions to address the vice.
