Man wins K1 million in Carlsberg promotion
A Karonga-based man has won K1 million in Carlsberg Malawi’s “Born To Be Chilled” promotion. The first draw was conducted at the company’s premises in Lilongwe over the weekend.
Ipyana Ngonga from Mzuzu, won K500,000 while Doreen Mwaisunga, also from Mzuzu, won an HD Television set. Several others also won various prizes including Flames replica jerseys, Carlsberg beer crates, travelling bags and key holders.
Speaking after the draw, Carlsberg Malawi Senior Brands Manager, responsible for Alcoholic Beverages, Twikale Chirwa, said the promotion has received overwhelming response from customers.
“We are satisfied with the number of entries we are receiving every day and it really shows our customers are excited with the promotion,” Chirwa said.
The competition was launched in September and is expected to conclude in November.
To qualify for the promotion, customers are required to buy Carlsberg Chill, Green, Special or Stout and redeem prizes found under the crown cork at any Carlsberg depot. To enter the draw, the customers are required to submit a receipt with their details in boxes placed at some super markets across the country.
