Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) has partnered Standard Bank digital payment platform, Unayo, for payments of examination and identity card fees.
Maneb Executive Director, Dorothy Nampota said, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, they are implementing e-registration for students in primary and secondary schools.
“Unayo comes in as a practical payment option for students, their parents or guardians on all mobile networks to pay examination fees from anywhere in Malawi,” she said.
The new electronic application process will require a candidate to register with a Maneb approved examination centre online after which they will receive a 14-digit invoice number.
Standard Bank Head of Client Solutions Ewen Hiwa applauded the partnership, indicating that it brings security and convenience.
“With Unayo, Maneb examination fee payment is free of charge and it will allow customers to transact from wherever they are in Malawi,” Hiwa said.
