Marketers asked to team up on rebranding Malawi
Seasoned marketer, Robert Salijeni, has urged marketers to join forces in rebranding Malawi to improve its image on the international market.
Salijeni, who is Chief Executive Officer for the marketing and advertising agency, Roofhouse Ogilvy, observed that the world over, people with similar interests are pulling resources for the initiation of great ideas and he said marketers in Malawi, as pioneers of the brand Malawi, can do the same for the good of the nation.
In an interview in Blantyre, Salijeni gave an example of the Millionaire Underdog Club as one of the successful groups that has brought together entrepreneurs from different countries.
“The club was initiated by JT Foxx with the aim of empowering various entrepreneurs to collaborate. The Millionaire Underdog Club was launched in Norway, London and Sweden early this year and will soon be launched in South Africa,” he said.
Salijeni said among other things, these entrepreneurs are becoming motivational speakers, real estate specialists, online marketers, traders in foreign exchange, among others. All this is happening having gone through thorough training process and the end result is financial freedom.
“To start such projects, Marketers need to agree and start contributing a certain sum of money on a monthly basis, create an account for the funds to be deposited and later on commence any viable projects that can be agreed upon. This is a legacy that marketers need to be remembered for,” he added.
